I am an experienced editor with six years of experience working on fast-paced magazine editorial desks and, latterly, as a self-employed editor and proofreader.
I am skilled at ensuring articles, reports, marketing materials and other texts are accurate, fine-tuned to their audience and keep your reader’s attention. I will ensure your text is error-free, factually accurate and readable. A copyeditor’s work is often invisible, but for any text with an audience, hiring an editor is invaluable.
Depending on the needs of your text and the stage it is at, the level of editorial service you require will differ. Once I know more about your project, I will be able to advise you on the editing service that best meets your needs.
I am skilled in working with a variety of texts, including articles, non-fiction books, presentations, manuals, reports, magazines, newsletters and newspapers.
Who do I work for?
My clients include publishers, small businesses, content agencies, individuals, magazines and apps. I also work with self-published non-fiction authors.
What do I work on?
I specialise in non-fiction copyediting, proofreading and translation, particularly history, cookery, horticultural and lifestyle content.
Due to my work as a translator, I am also experienced at revising and proofreading non-native English copy.
I also offer website editing for existing content. I am conversant in a number of content management systems, so am more than happy to edit directly into the CMS or to provide annotated PDFs or Word documents with changes.
